This collection contains aquarelles of some typical landscapes in the Haarlemmermeer, a municipality in the Netherlands in the province of North Holland. It is a polder, consisting of land reclaimed from water, surrounded by the Ringvaart, a true circular canal. This Dutch polder landscape is world-famous for many reasons. In the openness and emptiness of the landscape one can find the characteristic Dutch meadows and windmills.
