Having lived between exclamation- and questionmark, between certainty and doubt, always discussing the mysteries of life , but about one thing he had an explicit declaration. In his last days father put this inner certainty accurately into the following words.


When a granddaughter cautiously entered his room, trying not to disturb him, he gave to understand that he knew someone entered.


"I feel she is in the room"



As he was asked jokingly how was he to know, for he was deaf and had his eyes closed, he answered:
"I just know. Never underestimate love, for love is certainty, is knowing for sure."
